About Nishimura Laboratory

本研究室では、分子設計に基づく高分子自己組織化を基盤として、従来にない構造と機能を備えた高分子集合体の創製に取り組んでいます。とくに、自己組織化によって形成されるナノ構造や界面に着目し、輸送、反応、分子認識などの機能を発現する高分子材料の設計原理を探究しています。これを通じて、先進医療に資する高分子材料や新規機能性ソフトマテリアルの創出を目指しています。

Our research focuses on polymer self-assembly based on molecular design to create polymer assemblies with structures and functions beyond conventional materials. In particular, we explore nano-scale structures and interfaces formed through self-assembly, and investigate design principles of polymer materials that exhibit functions such as molecular transport, catalytic reactions, and molecular recognition. Through this approach, we aim to develop advanced polymer materials for biomedical applications as well as novel functional soft materials.
